Axi-Therm Blended Heating & Cooling Is the control of gradient and heated areas in the patented convection sections by using the heat created from either applied radiant, conduction or convection heat, and dissipating it throughout the metal contained within the convection sections. This process helps to reduce the total required applied Kw of heat to achieve the same temperature profiles and metal design criteria results.
On completion of the heat cycle, typically 600- or 800- degrees, Axiom engages a cryogenic solution through manifolds placed strategically within the convection sections, expediting the cooling of the metal by 12 hours or more helping our customers get back to production quicker.
Heating: Convection (Patented)
By utilizing manifolds placed strategically within the convection sections, convection heat is delivered by low pressure, high temperature gas and air through the manifolds to heat the metal contained therein. The convection area can be controlled in a manner to suit the heat cycle requirements. Utilizing the same manifolds as utilized to deliver the convection heat, Axiom can engage the most apt cryogenic solution to cool the metal and expedite access to the vessel or structure being heated.
Cooling: Oil Out (Patented)
Utilized in place of standard insulation, Axiom’s convection chambers and strategically placed manifolds allow a cryogenic solution to force cool the metal during the oil-out process allowing quicker access to vessels, towers and tanks during the front end of your outage.
